Bugle Head Drywall Screw Coarse thread
Coarse thread bugle head drywall screws are self-tapping fasteners for attaching gypsum board to wood studs. Featuring bugle head to prevent paper tearing and strong coarse threads for excellent pull resistance. Black phosphate finish, C1022 hardened steel, #2 Phillips drive. Widely used in drywall partition and ceiling installation.
Bugle head coarse thread drywall screws are self-tapping fasteners engineered specifically for fixing gypsum plasterboard onto wood studs, plywood and wooden substrates. The bugle-shaped head distributes pressure evenly, sinks gently into drywall without tearing the paper surface, and leaves a smooth recess ready for joint compound. The wide-pitch coarse thread delivers superior holding power in wood, resisting pull-out and ensuring long-term stability for interior partition walls, ceilings and drywall systems.

Key Features
- Bugle Head Design: Curved countersunk head avoids gypsum paper damage, achieves flush finishing and reduces pre-finish repair work.
- Coarse Thread Profile: Deep, widely spaced threads bite firmly into wood, provide high withdrawal resistance and speed up driving.
- #2 Phillips Recess: Precise cross drive for stable bit engagement, minimizes cam-out and screw stripping during installation with screw guns.
- Sharp Self-Tapping Point: No pre-drilling required, fast penetration and improved construction efficiency.
- Material & Heat Treatment: Made of hardened C1022 carbon steel, meets grade 4.8 mechanical performance.
- Surface Finish: Standard black phosphate coating for indoor anti-rust protection; zinc plated or stainless steel options available for humid/corrosive environments.
- Full Size Range: Metric sizes M3.5, M4.2; inch sizes #6, #8, covering lengths from 16mm up to 100mm.
Applications
- Fasten gypsum drywall / plasterboard to wooden studs, joists, plywood and MDF
